If you are looking to have some family fun this Thanksgiving near Lincoln, NE, then look no further. There are two Turkey Trots coming to Lincoln, Nebraska this November 2020. Both Turkey Trots are designed to be done in person and virtually, and runners and walkers are welcome to participate.

Lincoln YMCA Turkey Trot
The Lincoln YMCA is hosting their Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, November 26, 2020. The one-mile walk/run starts at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K starts at 9 a.m. for the in-person participants. There is no set time for those participating in the virtual Turkey Trot. There is a medal for the top male and female runner in each category for the in-person event.

Registration is required, with prices increasing after Sunday, November 22. The registration deadline is Wednesday, November 25 by 12 p.m. The Turkey Trot will take place rain, shine, or snow, so be prepared to dress appropriately! Packet pickup will be held at Cooper YMCA on Tuesday, November 24 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, November 25 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Turkey Trot Fun Run in the Railyard

The Turkey Trot Fun Run in the Railyard will also be held Thanksgiving morning. The run can be completed in-person and virtually. There will be a one-mile and 5K walk/run. There will be no start or finish lines for these runs, and they will not be timed. The event will take place at 350 Canopy St in Lincoln, NE with the fun starting at 8 a.m.

Participants can register now until the race starts on November 26. So, if you and the family wake up and decide to start your day of thanks by participating in a fun run, you can. Simply go to the location of the run prior to the 8 a.m. start time to pay the entrance fee and get your swag bag.
