Cornhusker Bank and People’s City Mission: Day without Shoes, Walk and Drive for Awareness

With the Day Without Shoes shoe drive and walk for awareness, we worked to drive home the fact that awareness matters if we all get involved. A shoe drive isn’t just about shoes. It is a reminder to be a part of making a positive difference in the lives of others and like helping people in need to get back on their feet. It helps us remember that small things, like shoes, are easy to take for granted.

Our Schworer team donated ________ pairs of shoes while serving as a drop off location for the shoe drive.

Day Without Shoes was created to help raise awareness of the impact a pair of shoes can have on a person’s life. During a campaign held every April, the community is encouraged to donate their new or used shoes or make a cash donation to help every struggling family get a pair of shoes.
