Fun Halloween 2019 Events for All Ages in Lincoln, NE

The month of spooks has once again arrived, and we can’t wait to get out and enjoy it. Leaves are falling, the air is turning crisp, and it’s time for haunted spirits to again ooze out from the woodwork.

To celebrate this horror-filled holiday, there’s a lot of great events going on in Lincoln this year. To get you started, we’ve compiled a few of our favorites. Whether you’re looking for something to occupy the kids or adults, we’ve got you covered.

70th & Pioneers Hy-Vee Lil’ Chefs – “Halloween Treats”

Where? Hy-Vee Dining Room, 7151 Stacy Lane, Lincoln NE

When? Tuesday, October 22nd from 4:30 to 5:30 pm

Looking for a fun event for the little ones? Head over to Hy-Vee. This fall, the popular grocery store is hosting several cooking class sessions for kids to help them learn about different foods and have some fun along the way. At the “Halloween Treats” iteration, kids will prepare 2 to 3 (presumably Halloween-related) recipes. To add to the fun and immersion, child-size aprons and chef hats are provided for use during class.

Tickets for the Hy-Vee Lil’ Chefs Halloween Treats event are $12. Note that nut butters may be used, so be careful if your child (or yourself) have an allergy sensitivity.

Halloween Costume Show with The Dinner Detective

Where? The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel, 333 South 13th Street, Lincoln NE

When? Saturday, October 26th from 6 until 9 pm

The Halloween Costume Show with The Dinner Detective entails a full Halloween-themed murder mystery experience, alongside a four-course plated dinner with choice of entrée. The Top Sleuth of the night will be rewarded with a special Prize Package. Costumes are encouraged, but not required.

General admission tickets for this event are $49.95, which includes the waitstaff gratuity. There are also parking fees to be conscious of.

Halloween Blast with Stately Wayne Manor and Cry Tough!

Where? Gray’s Keg Saloon, 104 North 20th Street, Lincoln NE

When? Saturday, October 26th from 9 pm until 1 am

If you’d like some music (and beverages) to go with your yearly terrors, check out Halloween Blast at Gray’s Keg Saloon. Stately Wayne Manor will be playing, along with a Poison tribute band known as Cry Tough. There will be drink specials, a costume contest, and no cover charge.

Wobbleween 2019

Where? Bodega’s Alley, 1418 O Street, Lincoln NE

When? Thursday, October 31st at 8 pm

We don’t know much yet, but tickets are only $5-$10. This is for 21 and over only. Costumes are highly recommended, and the “lineup of monsters” is forthcoming. Show up to Bodega’s Alley on Halloween Night to find out just what spooky surprising are in store.
