Volkswagen has created a new Spektrum program for the new 2019 Volkswagen Golf R that provides customers with a selection of 40 premium custom exterior color options as an optional add-on for the new model in addition to five standard shades. Custom 2019 Golf R models would take longer to deliver, about two to four months, but shoppers interested in a specific shade could get exactly what they wanted. (more…)
It’s been more than two years since Volkswagen first showed off the Golf R400 concept, a 400 hp special edition of the Golf R. Then, just a few months ago, VW announced that not only were they going to put it into production, but they would also be renaming it the Golf R420. Because 420 hp, that’s why! Just to be clear, that’s exactly double the power of the standard Golf GTI, from the same 2.0-liter engine. And they were actually going to build it! But it was all too good to be true.
